Amtrac

LVT-2 Amtrac
The BMC #49991 was introduced in 2000 and is based on the World War II LVT-2 Amtrac. Officially nicknamed the Water Buffalo, the LVT-2 began service in 1943. Over 3,400 units were produced until it's redesign in 1945.
This 1/32 scale replica of the Amtrac uses tooling adapted from the King & Country IWJ007 version and measures 9¼"L x 4"W" x 3½"H. Accessories include a .50 caliber machine gun that can be mounted on the cab and two .30 caliber machine guns that can be mounted on the port and starboard. The Amtrac can hold up to 5 figures, including the gunner. It's cast in a matte textured grey plastic. As with the Sherman tank, there are no wheels.
It is sold individually or as part of the Iwo Jima playset.
